Joseph Rouse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Parker Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. from May 27 to May 28, 2025.
Joseph A. Rouse, 87, of Franktown, Colorado, entered his Eternal Home on May 23rd, 2025. Joe was born on November 13th, 1937, in Hartford City, Indiana. He was the fifth child of Charles O. Rouse and Crystal F. (Futrell) Rouse.
Joe was very driven and dedicated. He was a member of the Methodist Church for most of his life, though most recently assisted in founding Star-Stone Fellowship. Joe spent 37 years working in the finance and insurance industries as both an agent and manager, where he was known for his mentoring of new agents and excelled in making successes of those that worked with and for him.
Outside of God, family, country, and work, Joe's first love was anything related to tractors. Tractor pulls, the John Deere plant, or just getting "therapy" on his riding mower. If there was a tractor involved, Joe was all in. He was very proud of his farming roots and very patriotic. He also enjoyed traveling. He made sure his family had seen all 48 contiguous states before the sons left home. His travels expanded with Mary, flying and cruising to many Pacific Islands, the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, and South America. Even taking the motor home around the continent to faraway places like Prudhoe Bay, Nova Scotia, Miami, the Yucatan and Belize. Joe was also a Mason, member of the Scottish Rite, and Shriner.
Joe is survived by his wife Mary (Beckman) Rouse, sons Joseph II (Stacey) Rouse, Chandler, Arizona, James (Diane) Rouse, Highlands Ranch, and Jason (Carla) Rouse, Castle Rock, brother Stanley (Cheryl) Rouse, South Riding, Virginia, grandchildren Joe Rouse III, Jeremy Rouse, Lauren (Rouse) Colvin, Heather (Rouse) Giudici, Jared Rouse, Julie (Rouse) Martinez, and Alaina (Rouse) Santos, eleven greatgrandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family who will miss him greatly.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Irene Palmer, Gloria Carter, Jeanne Sutton, brother John Rouse, and son Jay Rouse.
A funeral service will be held on June 7th at 2:30pm at The PACE Center in Parker.
Burial will take place at the Franktown Cemetery, following the service and reception.
