Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Joe was a lifelong resident of the area and a proud graduate of Hamilton High School West, Class of 1986. He dedicated 25 years of service to the New Jersey Department of Corrections, retiring with honor. A committed volunteer, Joe served many years with the Nottingham Fire Station, where his selflessness and camaraderie left a lasting impact.
Joe found joy in life's simple pleasures: cooking hearty meals, fishing, hunting, and riding his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle. He cherished trips to the beach and was a passionate New York Yankees fan, never missing a chance to cheer for his team. Above all, Joe's heart belonged to his family. His warm, generous spirit touched everyone who knew him, making him a man who was truly loved and admired.
He is survived by his father, Joseph Salvatore; his mother, Joan Meseroll; his daughters, Nicole Salvatore-McGinley (Dominic) and Gabrielle Salvatore; his sister, Jennifer Salvatore; his granddaughter, Gloria McGinley; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will carry his memory forward.
A gathering to celebrate Joe's life will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.
A prayer service will follow at 6:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Joe's memory may be made to the Nottingham Fire Station or a charity of your choice.

To Gabby and Nicole, I am so sorry for your loss. I was so saddened when I heard. But I'm glad he's not in pain anymore! He was a great man and a great friend to all who knew him. Years of "I know you" "years of firefighting and working together"...2 friends (who shall remain nameless) tried to throw us together. Short lived and ugly but reignited years later....should have been...but it wasn't....

I couldn't have had a better best friend to grow up with than Joey Salvatore! I just can't believe that he is on his way to heaven so soon! I will never forget you, my friend, EVER!
