Kenneth R. Budden, 72, of Tobyhanna, PA, passed away on Saturday, August 9, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Ft. Dix, NJ Kenneth settled in Hamilton where he raised his family. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School West, Class of 1972. He went on to become a plumber and for 30 years of dedicated service, Kenneth worked in the Maintenance Department within the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections until his retirement. He retired as Assistant Engineer in charge of Maintenance.

Kenneth was a hardworking and dependable man who enjoyed working with his hands. If there was something around that needed to be fixed, or torn down and rebuilt, he was the person to call. If you needed a helping hand, he was there. Kenneth enjoyed sharing a good joke and a laugh. He loved working on his home in the Poconos, tending to his garden, his pond, and playing with his puppies, Lemo and Dixie. He was an incredibly proud Pop-pop to his granddaughters, who were his greatest joy.

Predeceased by his father, Kenneth A. Budden and his sister, Linda Budden Rowe. Kenneth's memory will be cherished by his mother, Claire M. Budden; his daughter and son-in-law, Megan M. Shaffer and Matthew; his son and his partner, Matthew K. Budden and Kimberly Prairie; his precious granddaughters, Leah Martinez and Molly Shaffer; his brother, Kevin Budden; his sisters and their spouses, Cheryl and Donald Alm, Diane DeJersey, and Wendie and Greg Barker; as well as his nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ.

Cremation Services were held privately.
