Joseph Thomas Sammon, 61, passed away peacefully at home on January 29, 2025. He will be forever missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
Joe was born in Syracuse, NY, to Mary (McCarthy) and Brendan Sammon.
He grew up in Marcellus, NY, and graduated from Marcellus Central High School. For the last twenty years he made his home in Ipswich, MA. He was a professional cabinetmaker and owned his own remodeling business, Myriad Services. He was eternally grateful to have had many skilled craftsmen, including his father Brendan, mentor him over the years. Joe had a penchant for storytelling and was always quick with a joke. He was an excellent cook and loved all types of music. He played the drums and back in the day played in an Irish band with his mom and his uncle. He was a former president of the AOH - Syracuse Division, and a member of the Guild of NH Woodworkers. He and his wife loved to travel, especially to visit family in Ireland. He was one of a kind and will be remembered for his kindness and compassion towards others.
He will be deeply missed by his wife of 23 years, Bridget (Solan); father, Brendan; brothers, John (Carolyn), Brian (Denise), Michael (Jennifer), and David (Kim); nieces, nephews, aunts, an uncle, many cousins, and his in-laws. He was pre-deceased by his mother, Mary.
A celebration of Joes life will be held at a later date.
