Beloved husband of Mary Kay Schaefer (nee Weber), loving father of Adam Schaefer, Amy Taylor and Joseph O. Schaefer Jr., dear grandfather of Hannah (John), Haley, Adam Jr., Austin, Isabell and great grandfather of one on the way, beloved son of the late Carl and Cicilia Schaefer, dear brother of Christopher Schaefer and the late Georgette Sprague and brother-in-law of Bill (Judy) Weber, Bob (Mary Ann) Weber, Joe (the late Sandy) Weber, Jim (Lynne) Weber, Chris Weber, Ed (Kim) Weber, Nettie (Jerry) Mahoney and the late Phillip Weber and Patricia (Harry) Wiggins, uncle of many nieces and nephews. Passed away Monday, May 15, 2023. Age 76. Visitation will be Monday, May 22nd at the Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home 4619 Delhi Pike from 5-8 PM. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday May 23rd, 10 AM at St. Dominic Church. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or AMVETS.
