Joseph R. Schifino, 75, of Cumberland passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025 at the Oakland Grove Health Care Center, Woonsocket.
Born in Pawtucket, he was the son of the late Daniel and Anna (Martell) Schifino. He resided in Connecticut for most of his life.
He was a graduate of East Providence High School, and received his Bachelor of Arts from Roger Williams University.
Mr. Schifino was employed as an Assistant Manager for Sarges Comic's in New London, CT for many years until his retirement.
He leaves his sister, Anne L. Schifino of Cumberland; as well as several cousins. He was member of the Society Creative Anachronism (SCA), and he was Feral Von Halsern, Warlord II times, the Baron of the Court.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Joseph's Life Celebration to be held with Visitation on Friday, May 2, 2025 from 10-10:45 AM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, Cumberland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM in the St. Aidan/St. Patrick Parish, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Aidan/St. Patrick Parish.
