Joseph H. Serafine Jr.

Joseph H. Serafine Jr., better known as "Bud" to his friends and family, passed away at the age of 77 Monday, September 2nd at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was just weeks shy of his birthday, born September 29,1946 to the late Joseph H. Serafine Sr. and Teresa Musgrave Serafine.
Bud worked for OPICI Family Distributing in CT for many years. Selling wine was one of his greatest passions. He was a kind and generous soul with a great sense of humor. He loved feeding birds and watching them feast in his yard, while being able to name them all. Bud was also an amateur photographer, having published photos of bald eagles flying over the Delaware River.
Along with his parents, Bud was predeceased by his sisters Jane Belrose and Joyce Arroyo. He was a proud and devoted husband and is survived by his loving wife Jeanette Tignor Serafine; sisters Judy Altman and her husband Vernon, Beth Apollo and her husband Frank; brother John Serafine; Bud was a great brother-in-law to Jorden Belrose, Angelo Arroyo, Joyce and Richard Augustine, Janice Fraser, Judy and Mike Hearon. He was a favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews, grand and great nieces and nephews and a caring cousin to many as well as a loyal friend.
Bud was a great guy who always put his family first and will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday, September 7th 2024 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at Rose Hill Funeral Home 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill, CT. There will be a Reflection Time at 3:00pm for friends and family to share stories and memories.
