Joseph Sevenich, 74, of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 30, 2025 at Our House Assisted Living in WI Rapids, WI. He was born in Cudahy, WI on April 23,1951 and was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Rose Sevenich.
Joe worked at his father's company, Solar Paint in Milwaukee, WI for many years until he moved to the Junction City, WI area. He then worked as a Papermaker from 1982 until his retirement in 2019. Joe worked shift work yet still made time to assist with his children's sports, playing ball with the family, taking the kids swimming and on family vacations. Road trips were one of the things he enjoyed most and going with family and to see family were his favorite trips.
Joe loved all things automotive and had a passion for collecting cars (he especially liked classic muscle cars), attending car races and auto shows (Jefferson and Iola were his 2 favorites) and just tinkering and detailing his vehicles to make them his own- the louder and more powerful the engine, the better! He loved being outdoors doing yard work, having campfires, building and fixing things and found pleasure and satisfaction in the simple joys of life. Of course, he was also a lifelong fan of the Packers and supported them through the good and bad times, often noting just how many bad years there were. One of his most endearing traits was his goofy sense of humor- he loved cracking his silly "Dad" jokes, making funny faces and just playing with his grandkids. Joe enjoyed his brief retirement and being able to have the freedom to do whatever he wanted to do whenever he chose to do it. He said many times he just wished it could have lasted longer.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Christine (Duszynski) his daughters Rebecca of Plover, WI, Jennifer (Jeff) Barden of Amherst, WI, sons Joseph (Melissa) of Rome, GA, Andrew of Appleton, WI and Daniel (Lindsey) of Pittsville, WI and his 10 grandchildren : Meghan, Sophie, Sarah, Chase, Rylie, Joey, Aiden, Wyatt, Spencer & Isla. He is also survived by his 3 sisters with whom he shared a special bond-Rose Sevenich, Barb (Tom) Schauer and Emily McCann as well as his brother-in-law ("Bro") Michael Duszynski of Wisconsin Rapids. A very special thanks to Mike for all his assistance in helping and supporting Joe and the family during the final years of his life and throughout his illness with terminal lung disease.
Joe will be remembered as a man who deeply loved his family and once said "Friends and relationships will come and go, but you will always have family." He lived by that statement.
Joe was a private man and per his request, there will be no formal services/funeral.

I´m so very sorry to hear of Joe´s passing. I will always remember his laugh and how his eyes twinkled. I have so many good memories of the times we shared, both in Milwaukee and Rapids. I was just thinking about the playhouse you gave us when you moved to Junction City. Feels like yesterday. Hope you find comfort in all your memories of Joe and in all the love being sent your way.
