Joseph "Joe" Silverberg, 71, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away suddenly on May 11, 2025.
Born in Philadelphia, Joe has been a resident of NJ since 1990. Joe was a proud Honorary Member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, with 50 years of continued service in the Floor Layers Local Union 251 in Philadelphia. He specialized in installing floors, spending over 20 years with American Floors before retiring.
Away from work, Joe was an avid outdoorsman. He found solace in fishing amidst the ocean's waves. If Joe wasn't at work or fishing, you could see him spending time with his family. He was a family man who adored his five grandchildren, making the most of his time watching them grow.
Son of the late Harry and Nancy Silverberg and brother to the late Carol (Bob) and Ed (Rosemary), he is survived by his wife of 52 years, Joanne; his three children, Heather Neborak (Matthew), Danielle Griess (Marc), and Joe Silverberg (Nick); five grandchildren, Jace, Jaxon, Justin, Harper, and Kinsley. Joe is also survived by extended family members and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life Ceremony on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 11:00 am at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home and continue until the time of the ceremony.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Amputee Coalition in his name.
