Joseph "Joe" Silverstein, 67, of East Stroudsburg, passed away on Friday April 7, 2023, with family and friends by his bedside. He was the husband of Kisha (Nunley) Silverstein. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Joseph and Ruth (Penet) Silverstein. Joe was a resident of the E. Stroudsburg area for the past 15 years and prior to that he resided in the New Jersey and North Carolina areas. He was employed as a loader for the Wonder Bread Company n Carlstadt, New Jersey for many years and he was of the catholic faith.
Joe is survived by 4 children: Dawn Jimenez and her fiancé Robert Gironda of Stroudsburg, Pa., Elizabeth Silverstein and her fiancé Rebate Diaz of Bayonne, N. J. Joseph C. Silverstein IV and Tristan B. Silverstein both of E. Stroudsburg, Pa., grandchildren: Brittany, Desmarie, Robert, Riely, Mateo and Cheyenne and 4 great grandchildren: Ciara, Aryelis, Avaya and Claysen and a sister Joan Moriarity. Joe was preceded in death by a son Joseph Silverstein and a grandson Jaxson. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
There will be a catholic prayer service on Friday April 14, 2023, at 7:00pm at the Joseph J. Pula Funeral Home Inc. 23 N. 9th.St. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18360 The family will receive friends on Friday April 14, 2023 from 5-7:00 pm at the funeral home Cremation will follow the services.
