He was born on January 31, 1961 in Mount Clemens, Michigan, the cherished son of the late Lawrence and Mary Simon.
Joseph was always a hard worker and he held a long-standing career as a custodian working for Compass Group USA contracting for General Motors.
When he wasn't working, he loved reading, and listening to music. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
Joseph is lovingly remember by his daughter, Heaven (James) Bowden; his son, Patrick (Jessica) Simon; his grandchildren, Zachary Bowden, Rileigh Bowden, Tristan Bowden, Annabelle Bowden, and Georgia Miller; his siblings, Lawrence (Ruth) Simon, Catherine (Allen) Dunn, Teresa (Scott) Cottingham, Ernest (Lori) Simon, and James (Lisa) Simon; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving girlfriend, Melody Bilbrey.
Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Grace Memorial-Bower Rose Funeral Home, 222 North Main Street, Marine City, Michigan 48039.
