Joseph J. Smoot of Kennesaw, GA, passed away peacefully at the age of 93 on January 13, 2025. He was born March 16, 1931, in Beckley, West Virginia.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Patricia Smoot. Together they cherished 71 years of marriage filled with love and companionship. He also leaves behind two children, Terry Smoot and Sharon Smoot "Smith," along with two grandchildren, Derrick and Stephanie. Four great-grandchildren: Kaylah, Summer, Brooke, and Leland. Five great-great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Liam, Jase, Jagger, and Bentley.
Joseph proudly served in the United States Air Force for 21 years. He later went on to work for ABF Freight and lastly pursued a rewarding career at Lockheed until his retirement. In his personal time he enjoyed attending car shows, gun shows, and woodworking.
The family is extremely grateful for the kindness that has been extended for the passing of Joseph. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
