Joseph V. Steff Sr.

Joseph V. Steff, Sr., age 80, of Southampton, N.J. died peacefully at home with his
family by his side on Friday, April 7, 2023.
Born in Philadelphia, Pa, he lived in Southampton and Burlington County for most
of his life. He worked for 20 years with the Local Union #172 before his
retirement.
Joe loved hunting, fishing and golf but most of all he loved his grandchildren and
family. He was a passionate Phillies and Eagles fan and hated the Dallas Cowboys.
He was always first in line to lend a helping hand and was quite the handyman.
He would always try to find a way to crack a joke to lighten a room and would
always be willing to listen to whoever needed to talk. He will always be
remembered for "Uncle Joe" to all those he helped throughout his life. He will be
dearly missed.
He was pre-deceased by his parents, Alexander and Mary Agnes Steff, a sister,
Mary Ann, two brothers, Alexander "Zeke" Steff and Michael Steff, a grand-son,
Thomas Humphreys Jr. and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Steff.
Joe is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Barbara Steff, a daughter, Vergina
Humphreys and her husband Tom, a son, Joseph Steff, Jr. and his wife Jennifer,
three grandchildren; Laryssa Dell and her husband, Paul, Daniel Humphreys and
Joseph Steff III, two sisters, Catherine Dixon and Patricia Rizzo, a brother, John
Steff and a sister-in-law, Eleanor Steff. He is also survived by many nieces and
nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at the
Perinchief Chapels, 438 High Street, Mount Holly, N.J. Relatives and friends will be
received from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the
American Cancer Society or the Deborah Hospital Foundation.
