Passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, with his mother by his side. He was 42 years old. Joseph Lee Stolte was born on January 26, 1983 to Jerry and Betty (Kopanek) Stolte. He attended Reese High School and then graduated from Omni High School. Throughout his life in Saginaw, he worked as an Aide on a school bus, and often could be found fixing many projects for so many throughout the community. Joey was a well-rounded handyman, who loved to draw and stay active. His compassionate spirit will be greatly missed by his mother, Betty (Kopanek) Stolte; daughter, Autumn Beardsley; brother, Jerry Stolte; and so many friends that were very dear to him.

Joey was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Stolte; the father who raised him to be an amazing young man, John J. Wessely.

Family and friends will gather at Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603 on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Eric Winter will officiate. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.

MEMORIALS: In keeping with Joey's generous spirit, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the Eastside Soup Kitchen or Amazing Grace Animal Rescue. Joey was always quick to help those in need, and his family would like to continue with his generosity.
