Joseph William "Bill" Thomas

Joseph "Bill" William Thomas, 83, of Roxboro, died Saturday, October 04, 2025. Born in Person County, he was the son of the late Jack Thomas and Annie Lucille Green. Bill enjoyed being outside, up to the end. He was employed at Eaton Corporation for 35 years, many of which were spent supervising a large team. In his retirement, he enjoyed driving tractors, restoring vintage International tractors, and mowing his yard. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Donna Hazel Bostic Thomas; one brother, Jerry Thomas.
Mr. Thomas is survived by his daughter, Jackie Thomas Swanik (Mark); two brothers, Pete Thomas (Levon), George Thomas; three sisters, Mary Thomas Stone (Tommy), Betty Thomas Elliott (Winston), Melanie Thomas (Larry); one granddaughter, Cassidy Swanik.
Funeral service will be 1PM Thursday, October 9, 2025 at the Olive Branch Baptist Church with the Pastor Fred Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:30-8PM Wednesday October 8, 2025 at the Brooks & White Funeral Home.
