Robert "Bob" Thomas, 74, of Fort Supply, Oklahoma, went to his heavenly home surrounded by loving family on October 8, 2025. Bob was born Robert Wayne Thomas on July 7, 1951, in Mooreland, Oklahoma, to Norman and Detta (Wisner) Thomas. He was the fourth of five children and grew up on the family farm near Fort Supply, where he learned early the value of family, faith, and hard work.
Life on the farm shaped Bob into the man he became-steady, dependable, and quietly strong. He inherited the farming gene and found purpose in the land, tending it with care and patience throughout his life. Those who knew Bob will remember his calm presence, dry humor, and the way he could speak volumes with just a look, a raised eyebrow, an eye roll, or a tilt of his head.
Bob was a graduate of Fort Supply High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He retired after 42 years of dedicated service with the Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture.
He met the love of his life, Judy Beagley, on a blind date, and they were married during the wheat harvest on June 13, 1970. Together, they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage-years filled with laughter, love, and steadfast devotion. Their partnership was truly special, a living example of faithfulness and care through all of life's seasons.
Bob and Judy raised three children-Rebecca, Rodney, and Ryan-instilling in them a lifelong appreciation for family, agriculture, and integrity. Bob took great pride in supporting his children and grandchildren in their own agricultural, athletic, and academic pursuits, from livestock shows to ballgames and graduations. His quiet encouragement and presence meant the world to those he loved most.
Farming and running cattle were truly a labor of love for Bob. He found joy and peace in farming, feeding cattle, and spending time at the Woodward sale barn, where friendships and stories were as much a part of the day as the work itself.
A "still waters run deep" kind of man, Bob's life reflected quiet strength, humility, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith. He is a member of the Fort Supply Baptist Church. Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Judy, his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Detta Thomas; mother and father-in-law, Evelyn and Alfred Beagley; son-in-law, Mark Allen; and brothers-in-law, Bill Wingo and Woody Woodward.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Judy Thomas of the home; daughter, Rebecca Allen of Morris; sons, Rodney Thomas of Fort Supply and Ryan Thomas and wife, Dakota, of Douglas; brother, N.L. Thomas and wife, Lee Ann, of Fort Supply; sisters, Karen Woodward of Lawton, Carolyn Thornton and husband, Larry, of Woodward, and Katie Wingo of Fort Supply. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Gavin and Gage Allen, and Ryder and Rylee Thomas, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.
