Joseph Tornabene Obituary
He was born May 1, 1912 in New Philadelphia, son of the late Natalie and Rosalia Tornabene.
He was a retired meat cutter and former owner of IGA Market in Navarre. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Massillon, and an avid golfer.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (Rimedio) Tornabene of Navarre, a sister Rose Alfonso of New Philadelphia, a daughter in law, Davis Tornabene of Sarasota, FL., a grandson Trent Tornabene of California, and numerous nieces nephews in the area.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dr. Gerald J. Tornabene and a sister Mary Tornabene Zifer.
Services will be held at Sunset Hills Burial Park Chapel on Saturday, April 24, 2004 at 11 A.M. with Pastor Roger Alber officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Heitger Funeral Service - Massillon Chapel.

DEAR MARY,
I AM VERY SORRY TO HEAR OF JOE'S PASSING.OUR LORD WANTED HIM IN HEAVEN. I KNEW JOE WHEN HE WORKED AT GOOD'S GRO. MANY YEARS AGO AND HE
WAS A GREAT MAN THEN AND HE WILL ALWAYS BE. NOT MANY MEN HAVE COME DOWN THE PIKE THAT WAS WORTH HIS SALT BUT JOE WAS PURE GOLD AND THOUGH HE'S NOW IN HEAVEN, HE WILL ALWAYS BE WITH US IN OUR THOUGHTS AND IN OUR MEMORIES, MEMORIES OF A GREAT AND WONDERFUL MAN I WAS SO PRIVILEGED TO KNOW. THOUGH MANY YEARS HAVE PASSED BYE, I AM PROUD TO SAY I KNEW JOE.
