Leona Wascherle Obituary
Leona "Anne" Wascherle, 87, of Massillon, passed away on November 4, 2025 at Danbury of Massillon, following a brief illness.
She was born on July 23, 1938 to the late Vernon and Edith (Stanford) Preece in Massillon, OH.
A 1956 graduate of Northwest High School, Anne was dedicated to her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, counted cross stitch and knitting.
Anne is survived by her loving children, Bonnie (John) Palmer and Ron (Lisa) Wascherle; grandchildren, Natalie (Matt) Russ, Ryan Wascherle, and Emily Wascherle; and great-grandchildren, Connor Russ and Aiden Russ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Wascherle.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 7, 2025, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, Massillon, with a funeral service to start at 11:00 am with Pastor Linda Slutz officiating. Burial will follow in the Newman Creek Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Ronald McDonald House, Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital Chapter.
