Tyrell, Joseph Martin, Jr. of Quincy, formerly of Weymouth, died September 8, 2025. He was 79 years old.
Joe is survived by his wife Cheryle Tyrell (Albanese), sisters Mary C. Flynn of South Weymouth, Kathleen McTee of Oregon, brothers James Tyrell of South Weymouth, Thomas Tyrell of Washington, the late Paul Tyrell, and the late Patrick Tyrell and cousin Judy Tyrell. He was the loving son of the late Joseph M Tyrell and the late Mary Ann Tyrell (Mannion). Also survived by his friend Janice Poirier, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Joe was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he proudly served with the US Army. He grew up in South Boston and Dorchester, Massachusetts. He was a kind, gentle soul who will be missed dearly.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday, September 16 from 8:30 - 9:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joseph may be made to Tunnels to Towers, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
