Joseph Vitolo passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at the age of 80.
Joseph was born on December 12, 1943 in Newark, NJ. He was the son of Mary (nee Giordano) and Joseph Vitolo. Joseph grew up in Union, NJ and was a resident of Cranford and Lakewood, NJ before moving back to Union. He graduated from Union High School where he played quarterback on the football team. Joseph was Partner/Owner at the family business, Hillside Paper Company, Hillside, NJ. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and enjoyed listening to music and art.
Joseph is survived by his daughters, Cara Carley (Graham), Erica Vitolo (Tony Saba) and Christina Vitolo. He was the brother of Frank Vitolo (Linda), Thomas Vitolo (Carolann) and John Vitolo (Kara). Joseph is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 10 nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Fairview Cemetery, Westfield. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Paul Ippolito Summit Memorial.
