Joseph Richard "Joe" Walker, a resident of Flat Rock, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at the age of 74.
Born on April 1, 1951 to the late Thomas and Hilda Walker, Joe was a native of Orlando, Florida for many years before moving to Flat Rock. He retired from CSX Railroad after nearly 40 years where he worked as a machine operator. Joe enjoyed working on classic cars, especially his three Chevrolet Malibu's that he restored and also spent time working on his race car as well. Family was special to him, and enjoyed spending time with them as much as possible.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Rhonda Walker; his children, Nevian (Terry) Tindal, Richard (Erica) Walker, Adam (Crystal) Joyner and Danielle (Harold) Burgess ; his sisters, Shirley (Daniel) Clark, Gennie Hicks; his brother, Ronnie (Cathy) Walker; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and a host of extended and friends.
In addition to his parents, Joe is also preceded in death by five brothers, Irvin Walker, Danny Walker, Roger Walker, Leonard Walker and Albert Walker.
No formal services will be held.
