Joseph D. Wash

Joseph D Wash, Jr. 79, husband of Geraldine Twist Wash of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania passed away on May 23, 2023.
Born in Arbutus, Maryland, on September 2, 1943, he was the son of the late Joseph D Wash, Sr. and Harriett Twarog Wash.
Joseph worked for over 35 years in Human Resources, first for Clairol in Stamford, then for the Norwalk Hospital. Upon his retirement,
his love of golf became his passion, for it wasn't uncommon for him to play 4 rounds a week at Oak Hills in Norwalk. He also loved visiting Ocean City, Maryland every year with his family. He would spend his Summers there as a child growing up, and up until last year. His love of the beach was undeniable.
In addition to his wife of 54 years, Joseph is survived by his sons, Gregory Wash of Norwalk and his companion Kelsey Lear. Also Jeffrey Wash of Monroe, and his wife Tori, and their 3 children, Michael, Joseph, and Alex. They were truly the apple of his eye. He was extremely proud of them. He would love to watch his NY Football Giants with the boys every Sunday whether they won or lost. Also he enjoyed watching his granddaughter at her ice skating competitions. He is also survived by his brother Peter of Columbia, Maryland, and his sister Carolyn of Wilmington, North Carolina.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 27, from 9:00AM to 10:00AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church 208 Newtown Avenue, Norwalk. Funeral services will begin at 10:00AM in the Church, on Saturday. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk.
