Joseph Watson Obituary
Mr. Watson served in the United States Army. He retired from the NC Department of Corrections and was a life-long farmer. He served as a volunteer with the Prospect Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife, Peggy Slaughter Watson; two children: Joe Watson (Susan) and Janet Ruth Griffin (Tim); three grandchildren: Lydia Ruth Griffin, Joseph Griffin and Alex Watson.
Graveside service will be held 1 PM Thursday, January 11, 2023 at the Lea Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dave Cline officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lea Bethel Baptist Church, 1820 Ridgeville Road, Prospect Hill, NC 27314 or Prospect Hill Volunteer Fire Department, c/o Robbie Jean Yarborough, 163 Cooper Cemetery Road, Prospect Hill, NC 27314.
