Joseph Anthony Webb

Joseph Anthony Webb, 74, of San Diego, California, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025. He was born in San Diego, California to Charles and Dorothea Webb on May 25, 1950. He attended Holy Spirit Catholic School and later, St. Augustine High School, class of 1968, where he met his wife, Cynthia Heine, at a Saints dance in 1965. They were married in July 1975.
Joe attended Mesa College and played baseball after graduating from high school. He later received an Associate's Degree in Fire Science from Miramar College.
Joe began his career with the San Diego Fire Rescue Department in 1975. He served on the Fire department for 26 years before his retirement in 2001. He served in the position of Fire Captain at the time of his retirement. Along with being a Saints graduate, working for the department was his greatest achievement and honor.
Joe also enjoyed coaching little league baseball for his son, and assisting with soccer and softball with his daughters. He loved playing Over-the-Line every summer. He could always be found watching baseball games; he played adult league softball through Allied Gardens Rec Center for many years. He also loved to cook, BBQ, celebrate birthdays, bake birthday cakes, and spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed the holidays; he loved to decorate for Halloween and Christmas, and he enjoyed cooking and baking at Thanksgiving.
We cherish the memories we have of our beloved dad, husband, brother, and friend. He will forever be missed, loved, and remembered.
Joe is survived by his wife, Cyndi (49 years); son, Joey Webb; daughter, Allison Webb; daughter, Andrea (Eugene) Watts; sister, Mary (Rob) Cole, and brother, Chuck (Bobbi) Webb.
Burial services will be held at El Camino Memorial (5600 Carroll Canyon Road, San Diego, Ca. 92121) on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at 10am. Celebration of Life reception will immediately follow at 12pm at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church Hall (6556 Park Ridge Blvd, San Diego, Ca. 92120). All are welcome.
