Joseph "Joe" Wright passed away August 24, 2025 at the age of 69. He was born May 29, 1956 to the late Thomas Houston and Mary Magdalene Wright.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ann Free and Fay Hopkins and brother, Walter Wright.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas "T.E." Wright and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 28, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Plantersville Baptist Church with Pastor Jerry "Tater" Harrison officiating and Lawrence Brown-Service Funeral Home of Selma directing. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., prior to the service.
Pallbearers will be Houston Hopkins, Richard Free, Riley Hopkins, Sawyer Hopkins, David Wright and Davey Wright. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Wilson and Logan Wright.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Plantersville Baptist Church.
