Josephine C. Reiter, 78, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Village Crossing Retirement Community.
She was born on August 13, 1945 in Northampton, England to the late Joseph Coll and Lilian Elizabeth Reeves Coll.
She was a member of the Cathedral of the Assumption, was a '72 graduate of the University of Delaware, received her Master's in Education from the University of Louisville in 1985, and worked as a teacher for JCPS, retiring after 19 years.
Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene Allen Reiter.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa Ricketts (Matt), Christine Vincent (Ray); sisters, Chana Goldstock (Michael), Linda Buckley (Gary), Liz Laube (Rod), Susan Knight (Michael), Karen Coll; grandchildren, Molly and Megan Ricketts, Emily and Catie Vincent; many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024 with the funeral service immediately following at 1 p.m. at Ratterman Brothers East (Middletown) 12900 Shelbyville Road. Burial will follow at the Floydsburg Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to Kosair for Kids or Home of the Innocents.
