Josephine "Josie" D'Amico, 93, a life long resident of Westport, CT passed away on Thursday September 11, 2025 at her home in Westport surrounded by her loving family.
Josie was born on November 6, 1931 in Saugatuck and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Maria "Caruso" D'Amico. She was a graduate of Staples High School and then went on to attend a local secretarial school. She became an Executive Secretary and then opened Darien Secretarial Service. Josie was known as a great cook and baker.
Survivors include two brothers: Anthony J. D'Amico and Peter J. D'Amico, two sisters: Esterina D'Amico and Geraldine Stauss. She is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to her parents she was pre deceased by three brothers: Edward D'Amico, Rudolph M. D'Amico and Anthony D'Amico, and three sisters: Adeline Coviello, Margaret Incerto and Mary Aldrich.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral on Tuesday September 16, 2025 at 10:00 AM meeting directly at Church of the Assumption 98 Riverside Ave. Westport, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery in Westport, CT. Condolences for the D'Amico family may be left on line at hardingfuneral.com. Contributions in memory of Josie in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of choice.
