Josephine "Jo" Lamp

Josephine "Jo" Lamp, 91, of Navarre passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Jo was born on January 15, 1933 in Washington, PA the daughter of the late Arthur and Daisy Hartzell.
Jo was a longtime resident of Navarre. She and her late husband, Bob shared 72 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2023. They were hardly ever apart from each other and spent their winters vacationing in FL and SC. Jo was the hostess to all family events. She was quite the cook and prepared delicious meals for family and friends. She was a longtime active member of Massillon Church of Christ where she taught Bible Classes, Vacation Bible School, prepared meals for Jolly Seniors and various church events. She and her husband visited shut-ins of the congregation. She was known for her ability to put you at ease and offer words of kindness and encouragement.
Jo is survived by her children, Deborah L. (Carl) Erb, Steven D. Lamp, and Brenda S. (Jim) Jennings; her grandchildren, Amanda, Joshua, Megan, Lucas (Claire) Erb, Nicole (Mike) O'Reilly, Brandi (LaMar) Sharpe, Tyler, Matthew and Madison Lamp and Jordan (Tiffany) Jennings; her great-grandchildren Jaymen, Jenson, Jyles Jennings, Nate, Leiah, Nixon, Noah, Bree, Nolan Lewis, Cedella and Alyssa O'Reilly, and Charlotte Erb; her great-great- grandchildren Lumi and Linus Lewis;brother, Pete Hartzell; sisters, Sue McDaniel and Patty Mohr; and host of family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Aultman Compassionate Care for the loving attention shown to their mother.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at Massillon Church of Christ with the service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at East Union Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Aultman Compassionate Care Center - www.aultman.org.
