Josephine LaNoue Obituary
Jo was a "BOI" born on Galveston Island, Texas. She was the daughter of Louis Sr. and Mary Marchesi Alessi. She graduated from Ball High School in Galveston and continued her education by attending classes at The University of Houston. She was employed at C. E. Shepherd Company for over 53 years and was a financial officer of the company.
She was a member of Tiki Island Chapel. She enjoyed teaching and playing the piano, cooking, boating, swimming, fishing, crabbing, beachcombing, camping and skiing. She will be remembered for her generosity, hospitality and her enjoyment of spending time with family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents, Louis Sr. and Mary Alessi; brothers, Louis E. Alessi, Jr. and sister-in-law, Iris Alessi, and John Gail Alessi; sisters, Catherine Robertson and brother-in-law, Donald Robertson, Evelyn Robison; son-in-law, Roger Lenz and son, David LaNoue.
She is survived by husband, Harry LaNoue; sister, Patti Edens (Randy); daughter, Jolie Lenz; sons, Jay Stallings (Debbie), and Rick LaNoue (Kathy); grandchildren, Jennifer Stallings, Christopher Stallings (Haleigh), Nicholas Lenz (CJ), Lee LaNoue, and Michelle LaNoue (Ed); great grandchildren, Olivia Stallings, Raleigh LaNoue, Ophelia LaNoue, Gavin Warpinski, and Mason Warpinski; and numerous nephews, nieces and other family members.
The family will greet guests at 10:00 am followed by 11:00 am Memorial Services on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at Tiki Island Chapel, 835 Tiki Drive, Tiki Island, TX 77554. Lunch will follow services.
Special thanks from the family: Dr. Bueno and team at MD Anderson League City. The care they provided went well beyond practicing medicine. Martha from Synergy Home Health. She was a blessing over the last several months of Jo's life. And the care and guidance from Danielle, Shaun and Barbara, the hospice nurses from Magnolia Hospice.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Tiki Island Chapel.

Before Carolyn there was Sonic footlongs, Budweiser and Westside work days. Then there were holidays with Carolyn and y´all´s family. Jo always made us feel like family. We love you all and know we will be home with Jo one day. I miss homemade Italian food and pigs in a blanket. Love always. Bill and Carolyn.
