Dateline: George West, Texas Josephine Schuenemann age 73 Passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025 in George West, Texas following a sudden illness. She was born on March 22, 1952 to Ben Joseph and Doris Jane (Bridges) Pawelek in Poteet, Atascosa County, Texas. She received her Masters degree and was a counselor before retiring. After retirement she was a substitute at the ISD. She was member of the First Baptist Church in George West. She had several duties at the church and was very active in the church. She was preceded in death by her parents Doris Jane Gohlke and Ben Joseph Pawelek; her brother Jimmy Pawelek and her son Ryan Daniel Summerville. Survivors include her husband Kenneth E. Schuenemann of George West. Her children: Scotty (Katherine) Noble of Point Venture, Texas, Sara (John Paul) Benavidez of George West, Nathan (Rebecca) Summerville of Clarksville, Tennessee,, Elizabeth (Jacob) Bentura of Austin, Amber Summerville of George West and Jonathan Schuenemann of Garland, Texas. She had one brother Ben Daniel Pawelek of San Marcos, Texas. She was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren along with 2 nephews that loved her and will miss her dearly. Visitation will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 from 5-7 PM at Roberson Funeral Home in Three Rivers. Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 10 AM at the First Baptist Church in George West. Pallbearers will be John Paul Benavidez, Gilbert Davila, Henry Noble, Brandon Noble, Daniel Pawelek and Daven Pawelek. Honorary Pallbearers are Scotty Noble and Ben Pawelek. Services entrusted to Roberson Funeral Home, Three Rivers.
