Josephine Welt Obituary

Josephine was born in Plainfield, NJ, the daughter of Dorothy and William Banke. She had resided in Short Hills, NJ for 44 years, where she was an active parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, including serving as a Eucharistic minister. She was also an active supporter of the Paper Mill Playhouse and New Eyes for the Needy. Josephine had moved to Basking Ridge, along with her late husband, Roger, in 2014.
Josephine was an avid shopper, especially when it came to designer items, and she loved animals.
Josephine's greatest love was for her family. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Roger and her loving daughter Holly Ann Santoro. She is survived by her devoted son William and his wife Rachelle of Millington; her cherished grandchildren, Alexa Weingartner, Devon Santoro, Taryn Welt and Ian Welt and great-grandchildren Winona and Imogene Weingartner and Gwendolyn Welt.
The committal service will be held at St. Gertrude Mausoleum, 53 Inman Ave., Colonia, NJ on Wednesday, July 3rd, at 11 AM.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Paul Ippolito Berkeley Memorial, 646 Springfield Ave., Berkeley Hts., NJ.
In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to New Eyes for the Needy (www.new-eyes.org).
