Josh Edwards Obituary
Joshua Stephen Edwards, 51, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of Eddie and Debra Edwards.
Josh was employed as a Quality Manager with Newton Instrument Company, Butner. He was a 1990 graduate of Hugh M. Cummings High school and studied Tool & Dye Technology at Alamance Community College. Josh was an artist, musician and writer. He was a screenwriter and credited for various movie projects. Josh played guitar in a heavy metal band “The Plow”. He won numerous awards across the country for his painted models in multiple Warhammer competitions. Josh was an avid New England Patriot’s fan and also a competitive powerlifter for several years. He loved his family, friends and those he worked alongside of in his career.
Josh is survived by his parents, Eddie and Debra Edwards of Winston Salem; brother, Jacob Edwards of Burlington and a sister, Leah Edwards Manley and husband, Noel of Haw River; nieces, Emma Rae Manley and Finley Caroline Manley.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 1, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by family friend Rev. Willy Minnix. The graveside service will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery.
