He is preceded in death by grandfather, Denny Joe Causey, Sr. and his beloved Aunt Tammy.
In addition to his parents of Murrells Inlet, SC he is survived by a brother, Nick Causey (Kayla Rabon) of Murrells Inlet; two grandmothers, Pat Conyers "Gram", of Timmonsville, SC and Bobbie Jean Causey of Murrells Inlet; two uncles, Danny Conyers and his wife, Alycia of Murrells Inlet and Joey Causey and his wife, Jennifer of Murrells Inlet; two aunts, Lynn Constance Conyers (Bobby Johnson) of Myrtle Beach and Terry Causey (Buddy Norman) of Murrells Inlet; nephews, James Terry Causey and Ellison Thomas Causey; as well as many cousins, special friends and his beloved dog, OX.
He enjoyed his time being a Communications Tower Technician and a member of the C-Way Marine Construction crew.
Josh had a zest for life and a sense of humor that could light up any room. He enjoyed surfing, skating, days spent at the beach and above all spending time with family and friends.
A celebration of Josh's life will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Hwy, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576. Burial will follow at Belin United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4182 US-17 BUS, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time from 1:00-2:00pm at the funeral home.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in Josh's name to the MUSC Hollings Cancer Center, https://hollingscancercenter.musc.edu/giving
The family would like to give a special thanks to the many great nurses, doctors and technicians in various departments throughout MUSC and Tidelands Hospital systems. A heartfelt thank you to anyone who was a part of Josh's journey and shared the bond of friendship. His love for his family, his friends and his dog knew no boundaries.
