Joshua Lee Crossen, 47, passed away unexpectedly in Los Angeles, CA, on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Joshua was born November 15, 1977, in Chester, IL, the son of Mary Bowser and Bob Crossen. Josh graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. He aspired to become a lawyer. Josh had a love for fast cars and Nike Jordans. Once his first son was born, Josh decided to stay home to be a full-time dad. Above all else, he was a loving father. Josh would want to be remembered for being a good father who loved his children more than anything else.
Joshua is survived by his mother Mary (Robert) Bowser, of Dixon; three sons, Lucas Michael Crossen, Ariel Jacob Crossen, Isaiah Israel Crossen, of Galesburg; Stepson, Colton Howard Hallberg; four sisters, Jennifer (Dave) Kutz, Amy (John) Kutz, Amber Drake, Shay Bowser; and one brother, Damon Bowser.
Joshua was preceded in death by his father, Robert (Bob) Crossen.
A memorial service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon, with the Pastor Jack Briggs, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded, and there will be no formal visitation.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
