Joshua Arllen Edward Cook

It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Joshua Arllen Edward Cook, who left this world on Wednesday, October 22nd, 2025. Born on Tuesday, June 4th, 1985, in his beloved hometown of Centralia, Illinois, Joshua lived a life marked by kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication to those around him.
Residing in Centralia, Joshua was best known for his role as a caregiver, where his innate compassion shone brightly. Previously, he worked at Walmart, where he was cherished by his coworkers as family. Whether with friends, family, or colleagues, Joshua's joyful spirit and selfless nature left a tremendous impact on everyone he met.
Joshua was the loving son of his devoted mother, Donna and Fred Kirgan. He is deeply mourned by his sisters, Javanna Soles and Jennifer Cook, and brothers, Jason Cook and his wife, Sarah, and Dewayne Bollhorst. His cherished memory will also be carried forward by his aunts, Cindy, Crystal, and Becky, along with several nieces and nephews who adored him dearly. Joshua's beloved dog, Miya, will miss him greatly.
Preceded in death by his grandparents, Shirley and Donald Bollhorst, and uncles Gregory Bollhorst and JR White, Joshua is now in their company.
His life was characterized by profound generosity and love. Joshua was particularly devoted to caring for his grandmother, an endeavor he took to heart. True to his giving nature, Joshua chose to donate his organs, offering the gift of life to others even in his passing.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, providing a moment for family and friends to gather in remembrance of an extraordinary soul who touched so many lives.
