The family of Joshua Michael Embler of Salt Lake City, Utah is saddened to announce his passing on January 12, 2025, at the age of 34 years.

Josh was born on June 18, 1990, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a dedicated and loving son, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness, humor and generosity

Josh was known for his adventurous spirit and love for the great outdoors. He spent countless hours hiking, fishing, camping, and exploring the beautiful landscapes of Utah. Josh loved being a dad to his 5 cats. 

Joshua was an assistant manager at Dan’s Grocery. This was a job he truly enjoyed. He spoke highly of his boss, coworkers and customers. 

Joshua is survived by his dad Joseph “Mitch” (Annette) Embler of Asheville, NC and his grandmother Jean (Gene) Scott of Leicester, NC. He will be deeply missed by his extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his mother Maryanne Embler, grandparents Bert and Betty Zoetmulder and his grandfather Joseph Clifford Embler. 

A private celebration of Joshua's life will be held in Salt Lake City later. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Outreach Pawsabilities in Herriman Utah. This is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to rescuing dogs. Kim Mikesell Executive Director https://outreachpawsabilitiesinc.org/
