Joshua Neil Huffman

Joshua Neil Huffman (Bear), a devoted father to two sons and follower of Jesus, passed away surrounded by family on November 17th, 2021 in Fairfax, Virginia. Josh's passing was the result of his longstanding battle with chronic heart issues. He was 39 years old.

Josh is survived by his mother, Patricia Wenger; his sons, Brayden Joshua Huffman and Caleb Neil Huffman; his sisters, Ashley Plazas and Danielle Hammelev; his nieces, Elise and Makenzie Plazas; his grandparents, Phil and Dawn Carter; his aunt, Paula Kassel; and his uncle, Philip Carter. He is predeceased by his great-grandparents, Charles and Ethel Carter.

Josh was born in Ohio on June 29, 1982 to Patricia Dawn Wenger. He spent his childhood in Ohio and then Colorado, where he lived for most of his life. Josh graduated from Doherty high school in Colorado Springs. On October 28, 2006 and August 22, 2008, Josh welcomed the two greatest gifts of his life, his two sons, into the world. It was apparent to all who met Josh that his sons were everything to him. He worked hard to instill Christ-like values in them and taught them everything from how to pitch a baseball to how to be a gentleman. He was so proud of them.

Words can't begin to describe the kind of man that Joshua was or the impact he has left. He lived his life with sincerity, humility, compassion, and humor. He loved Jesus and his family deeply. He was always honest, encouraged you to dream big, and was always in your corner cheering you on. Josh will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends, family, and others whose lives Josh touched are invited to Josh's celebration of life on December 4th, 2021 at 10:00AM at Rocky Mountain Calvary Church (4285 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80918).
