Joshua Lloyd Martin

Joshua Lloyd Martin, age 53, of Cabool, Missouri, formerly of Madisonville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on 12/10/2025.
Josh was a hard-working, faith-filled man who found his purpose in the quiet of the woods and the comfort of the Word. An avid hunter and fisherman, he was happiest with a rod in his hand, a trail beneath his feet, or beside someone who needed encouragement. He had a gift for lifting others up, especially the men of the Big Boys Ministry, where he poured out love through heartfelt conversations, shared prayers, and many warm meals made with care. Josh believed deeply in meeting people where they were, and he lived that calling daily.
His journey was not without hardship. After years of turmoil and addiction, Josh found redemption, peace, and a renewed relationship with Christ. He especially cherished Psalm 91:4 - "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge" - and drew strength from the Book of Joshua, embracing its courage and faith.
Josh was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Ruth Martin; his father, Leonard Kenneth Martin; and his brother, Kenneth Lee Martin.
He is survived by his daughter Patsy (Austin) Phillips and her children Fisher, Stephani, and Ember; his son Landon Martin and his daughter Lillianna; his brother Leonard Lloyd Martin; his nephew Tommy (Jordain) Martin, Misty Martin and their children Hunter, Chaseten, Jasmine, Zoey and Hoyt; Justin Martin and his children Makayla, Deveyn, and Dameon; along with many others who loved him.
Josh's life was a testament to resilience, faith, and the power of grace. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
