Joshua Duane McDonald, of Wanette, Oklahoma, passed from this life on November 29, 2023, at the age of 43. He was born August 16, 1980, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Leslie Joe & Tina Regin (Tullis) McDonald. Joshua went to school in Noble, Oklahoma for 13 years. Joshua loved his animals, hunting, and fishing. Joshua raised hundreds of sheep and showed the livestock with his friends and family. He worked his entire life as an elevator mechanic and was known by everyone as an extremely hard worker. Joshua was a very spiritual person, as he always had very strong beliefs and morals that he lived and loved by. He was a good man, a gigantic figure in many people's lives, a great father, and he will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
Joshua is survived by 2 daughters, Merceades Irons & husband, Coleman, and Makenzie McDonald; 1 son, Mason McDonald; best friend, Lydia McDonald; grandson, Miles Irons; mother, Tina McDonald, father, Leslie McDonald; siblings, Cory McDonald & wife, Rachel, Summer Rogers & husband, Brad, Trisha McDonald, Olivia McDonald, Randy McDonald, and Ethan McDonald; 13 nieces and nephews; 3 great-nieces and nephews; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Flora McDonald, grandfather, Ben McDonald; and uncles, Tracy Tullis, and Robert McDonald.
Visitation will be held from 3:00pm-5:00pm, Sunday, December 3, 2023, at the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway, in Moore, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Monday, December 3, 2023, at 12 Corners Baptist Church, located at 15601 E. Etowah Rd., in Noble, Oklahoma. He will be laid to rest at Red Oak Cemetery, on Banner Rd. in between 180th & Pottawatomie Rd., in Lexington, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home & Chapel.
