Joshua Thomas Park

Joshua Thomas Park, 34, resident of Greenwood, and son of Thomas Keith Park and Helen C. Ramsey Park, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his home.
Born June 21, 1991, in Peoria, Illinois, Joshua attended East Peoria High School and was employed with Caterpillar in Hodges. He had made Greenwood his home since November 2019.
Joshua's hobbies included drag racing, Ford trucks, German Shepherd dogs, and spending time outdoors hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his father and stepmother, Thomas Keith and Christina Park of Louisville, KY; his mother, Helen Park of Iuka, MS; his life companion, Katie Marie Smith; two stepsisters, Jaylen Ray and Kaitlyn Ray, both of Louisville, KY; three brothers, Jason Park (Tammy) of Washington, IL, Jacob Short, and Joseph Short, both of East Peoria, IL; and his paternal step-grandmother, Karen Ray of Louisville, KY.
Joshua is also survived by his loyal German Shepherds, Docia, Kaiser, Kevlar, Shadow, Shylah, Pandora, and Veela; and his rescued kitten, Jack, whom he found under a truck at Caterpillar.
He was predeceased by a brother, Jeramie Lee Park; step-father, Craig Corley paternal grandparents, Vernon Lee and Docia Park; paternal step-grandfather, Terry Ray; and maternal grandmother, Linda Lee Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 21926 Washington Rd, Morton, IL 61550, with a celebration of life to follow at The Bunker, 100 Bittersweet, Washington, IL 61571.
