Funeral services for Mr. Joshua Gene Parker, 37, of Carthage, Texas will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tommy McMillan and Rev. Dale Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Cool Springs Cemetery in Logansport, LA under the direction of Hawthorn Funeral Home.
Mr. Joshua Gene Parker was born February 27, 1986 in Shreveport, LA. He passed this life June 13, 2023 in Panola County, Texas. Joshua was born to the marriage of Richard Earl and Wendy Renee Cordova Parker. He was raised in Logansport attending high school in Gary and graduated from the Panola Charter School with the Eagle class of 2005.
Mr. Parker was a commercial truck driver. He loved working for Robert Howard and Debbie Patrick at CarTex Transport. Trucking was his life when he wasn't 4-wheeling, hunting, or fishing with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Billy Gene and Marie Cordova, Floyd and Virginia Parker.
Mr. Parker is survived by his grandmother, Shirley Walker of Gary; loving parents, Richard Parker and Linda of Floresville, Wendy Parker of Gary; two children he was so proud of, Justin Parker and Lindsey Parker both of Carthage, devoted sister, Ashley Bailey and husband Eric of Laneville; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of friends and neighbors.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Bradley Holeman, David Cox, Trey Moore, Carlton Stone, Melvin Anderson, Moe Williams, and honorary Eric Bailey. A guestbook can be signed at: www.hawthornfuneralhome.com
