Joshua "Josh" Michael Proctor, a longtime resident of Cartersville, Georgia, passed into the loving arms of our Savior on January 4, 2023, at the age of 46 surrounded by loved ones. He was born September 23, 1976, in Cartersville, Georgia to Mike Proctor and Cam Gentry.
Josh is survived by his loving wife Stephanie Proctor, parents Mike Proctor (Wendy Proctor) and Cam Gentry, sisters Jessica Smith (Shane Smith), Era Noyes, Amber Williams, & "Uncle-Brother" Patrick Blair (Jessie Blair), children Kara Rogers (James Rogers), Jarret Ray, Taylor Proctor, Jaydon Ray, grandchildren Hayden Rogers, JT Rogers, and Lileigh Taylor, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by grandparents JL Proctor, Bob & Edith Blair, and Cliff & Lillian Gentry.
Josh attended both Cass and Cartersville High schools and graduated from Georgia Highlands College, Summa Cumme Laude with a degree in Human Services.
He proudly served in the United States Army in the 82nd Airborne division. Josh was the former pastor of Redeemed Church, which he loved with all his heart. Josh loved the Lord Jesus and was a faithful servant of Him and His church. He loved his Georgia sports teams, the Dawgs, the Braves, the Falcons, and Atlanta United. He had a great love of vintage music. He loved his friends and family passionately, with his whole heart. Josh's children were the greatest joy of his life along with his devoted wife. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, January 9, 2023, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville GA 30120.
