Joshua "Josh" Wayne Duncan Standlee, a resident of Meeker, Oklahoma passed from this life on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the age of 34. Josh was born on January 3, 1991 in Ada, Oklahoma to Lindell Standlee and Suzanna Duncan.
Josh grew up in the Meeker, OK area and attended Meeker Public Schools. Josh graduated Meeker High School in 2009. He was a letterman in football, basketball, and baseball at Meeker High. Following his high school education, Josh began working for Black Hawk Casino and later worked in construction with Firehouse Restorations of Oklahoma City. Josh was a member of the Prague Church of Christ. Josh was a loving son, brother, and uncle and his family was very important to him. He will be fondly remembered by the many people and family that knew him.
He is preceded in death by two grandfathers, Lindell Clifford Standlee and Charles "Chuck" Junior Duncan.
Josh is survived by his mother, Suzanna Duncan of Meeker; his father, Lindell Standlee and wife Amy of Meeker; stepmother, Valerie Standlee; three grandmothers, Pawnee Duncan of Meeker, Veronica Winkler of Meeker, and Cassie Standlee of Meeker; three sisters, Taylor Wood and husband Michael of Meeker, Anna Standlee of Meeker, and Jordan Tash of Meeker; four brothers, Jacob Standlee & wife Meghan of Meeker, Nick Cagle and wife Macey of Chandler, Austin Roberts and Yessi Roberts of Noble, and Vincent Tash of Meeker; a niece, Murphy Standlee; six nephews, Odin Wood, Talon Askew, Archer Wood, Set Cagle, Swift Cagle, and Percie Lewis; by other extended family and many good friends.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025 at 2:00pm at Mammoth Baptist Church, 339943 US Hwy 62 in Meeker with Dale Griffin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group in Shawnee.
