Loretta was born April 27, 1947 to William and Mossie Iona (Gilliam) Sissons in their home at Meeker, Oklahoma and passed from this world to her heavenly home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Fairview Fellowship Home. She graduated from Meeker High School in 1965 and married James "Jim" Dale Branham upon his return from Vietnam in June 1965. The wedding dress she wore she sewed herself in her Home Economics class. They were married 27 years of which they spent a lot of time camping and coaching girls softball, until Jim's passing on Sept 11, 1992. Loretta was a faithful servant of our Lord and decided to go on a month long mission trip to Croatia in summer of 1995. They helped many refugees and taught them about Jesus. Shortly before going on this mission trip, one of her daughters setup for a church widow to go on a date with Loretta. Upon Loretta's return the widow proposed and on Sept. 15, 1995 she married, Marion Wanzer. They went on many trips, serving as missionaries building or repairing churches, shelter homes and Baptist student unions. They also served as church camp cooks for several years. They continued to travel and see family until Marion's passing on Sept. 13, 2020. Loretta was an active member of Hillsdale Bible Church and attended Chisholm Trail Cowboy church until she moved to Weatherford, OK with her daughter Jennifer, before moving to Fairview Fellowship Home. She had a lengthy career as a para-professional working with special needs children beginning with Enid State School in the 70's, Cherokee Park School and finally retiring from Enid Public schools in 2014. She loved teaching and working with special needs children and especially volunteering at Special Olympics and prom events. She was named Cherokee Strip Special Olympics Volunteer of the Year in 2011-2012.
