Joshua Francis “Josh” Tregoning passed away suddenly on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the age of thirty-eight.
Josh was born January 21, 1986, in Carbondale, Illinois. Josh attended Goreville High School and served as a US Marine for four years. Josh was a beloved son and brother. He was a loving father and devoted friend. Josh’s quiet exterior could only temporarily hide his playful and loving personality. He could find a movie quote for any situation. He loved to read and watch movies. Mostly, Josh loved to chat. Josh could stay up all night as long as there was a good conversation to be had.
Josh is survived by his daughters Cameron and Kadynce; parents George and Carol; brother Seibert; sister-in-law Ellie; and nieces Hazel and Mable.
Visitation services will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 11:00 am-12:00 am at Goreville United Methodist Church located at 116 West Adams Street, Goreville, Illinois. Memorial services will begin at noon with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps, with assistance from the local VFW and American Legion.
