Josie Rae Coonen peacefully passed away during delivery at Alba Birth Center on February 25, 2024. She is survived by her loving parents, Jesse and Michaela Coonen.
Josie was a beautiful baby girl, a perfect combination of her parents, with chubby cheeks, curly strawberry-brown hair, and long fingers and toes. She had a love for loud, live music and would show her enthusiasm by kicking extra during the musical portion of church services. She especially loved foods like raspberries and strawberries, was absolutely a cheese fanatic, and convinced mom to eat a lot of tomato slices throughout her pregnancy. Josie had a spirited personality. During prenatal visits, whenever a midwife would check her position, Josie never hesitated to make her presence known by kicking, pushing, and punching!
A service to honor Josie's life will be held at Appleton Alliance Church. Visitation will take place from 9:00am to 11:00am, followed by a Memorial Service at 1100am. A burial service will take place at Highland Memorial Park at 12:30pm. When arriving at the church please be sure to park in the west parking lot as that is closest to where the service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choosing in memory of Josie. Rest in peace, dear Josie. Your memory will forever be cherished.
