It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Josie Guzman, who went to be with the Lord on September 24, 2025, at the age of 79.
Josie was the heart of our family—the monarch who guided, comforted, and cared for all who knew her. She devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and wisdom. She was admired and respected not only within her family but also throughout the community, where she touched countless lives. Known for her natural gift of healing, many sought her guidance, care, and gentle spirit.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Lalo Guzman, along with her children: Roberta Jaramillo; Fita Orozco and her husband, Javier; Maggie Jaramillo; Steven Jaramillo and his wife, Phyllis; and Maxine Lynch and husband Tom. She is now reunited in heaven with her youngest son, Edward Jaramillo. She also leaves behind an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each of whom cherished her dearly.
Josie was deeply loved, profoundly admired, and will be remembered always for the warmth she shared and the strength she instilled in those around her. Her presence will be greatly missed, but her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched.
Services to honor Josie’s life will be held on Monday, October 6, 2025 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the chapel of Trujillo Family Funeral Home 110 Alvarado Dr SE Albuquerque, NM 87108
