Josie Lee Morin, age 2, gained her angel wings at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital on Monday, July 21, 2025. She had a bone marrow transplant at 5 months old and passed away due to GVHD. She was born on April 19, 2023, in Grand Rapids, MI to her loving parents, Brandon and Lindsey (Ruch) Morin.
From the moment she arrived, Josie filled the world with joy and happiness. A bright and curious soul, she loved going on walks and riding in her wagon, playing with her sissy, and would never go anywhere without her “Night, Night or pacies.” Josie loved being around everyone and coloring on anything she could find. Her momma never left her side and was her safe spot.
Josie will be forever missed by those who survive her, including her parents, Brandon and Lindsey (Ruch) Morin; sister, Laiklynn Morin; grandparents, Bob (Traci) Ruch, Monica Rogers and Dan Kilchermann, Dave (Cindie) Morin; aunts, Lora Ruch and Bobbie Rodriguez; great grandparents, Susan Young and Nancy Morin; and a vast circle of extended family, friends and the staff at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Bone Marrow Transplant team for their hard work and dedication to Josie over the last two years.
Though her time here was far too short, the memories made with Josie will be treasured forever. Her love, laughter, and radiant spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Josie POMP Journey Account under Lindsey Morin at Lake Michigan Credit Union. Condolences for the family may be left on Josie’s guestbook at www.throopfh.com.
