Joy Ann Simmons

Funeral services for Joy Ann Simmons, 29 of Killeen, Texas and formerly of Caldwell, Texas, are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at the Church of Jesus Christ in Dime Box, Texas with Pastor Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the Copperas Cemetery in Doak Springs.
Joy Ann Simmons was born on September 30, 1995 in Dallas, Texas to David Simmons and Niccola Hall. She worked for Amazon for several years and was currently employed at Austin Bergstrom International Airport in Austin. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Dime Box, Texas. Joy Ann enjoyed taking pictures, eating out and trying new foods, taking care of her flowers, especially her sunflowers. She loved music and had the most beautiful singing voice. She will be remembered for the love she had for her family.
Joy Ann left this world unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, following an automobile accident in Austin.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Parlee Hall, and Bennie and Barbara Simmons; five great aunts; one great uncle, and a cousin, Jamal Hall.
Joy Ann is survived by her parents, Niccola Hall of Caldwell and David & Diane Simmons of Austin; three sisters, Suqowonia Williams of Dallas, Sharday Renee Phoenix & her husband, Glen of Round Top, and Crystal Simmons of Killeen; two brothers, David Simmons & his wife, Dasya of Caldwell and Elijah Simmons & his wife, Cassandra of Giddings; step brothers and sisters, Keith Eason of San Antonio, Dyeisha Eason of Austin, Daytron Pool of Austin, and Tahtiana C. Simmons of Austin; her grandfather, Oscar Hall Jr. of Dallas, and uncles and aunts, Taj A. Hall of Dallas, Tasha Patterson of Lancaster, Jackie & Pat Simmons of Dallas, Bennie Simmons of Dallas, Gene & Velencia Simmons of Ft. Worth, Rosemary Brown of Dallas, Gary Simmons of Waco, Joseph Simmons of Waco, Archie Cornish of Oklahoma, Melba Joyce of Sherman, and Vette Otuagoma of Austin.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Simmons, Arby Hall, Glen Phoenix, Elijah Simmons, Michael Villalpando, and Harvey Gafford.
