Joy is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Williams; her mother, Dorothy Goodman Martin; two daughters, Marie Swain (Steve) and Debbie Bryant (William); one brother, William Bert Martin, Jr. (Bobbie); one sister, Lucy Campbell (Truman); seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, William Bert Martin, Sr.; three brothers, Roscoe Martin, Silas Bert Martin, Jerry Martin, and one granddaughter, Chelsey Renee Morris.
Joy was born on February 3, 1957, in Haywood County. She was a faithful employee of LASCO Fittings, Inc for 38 years. She was the Head of Quality Control for LASCO when she retired. She was a faithful member of Allen Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She had a special place in her heart for her mother and for her grandchildren. She was a Realtor, a Real Estate Investor and Licensed Contractor.
Pallbearers for the service will be Miles Martin, BJ Swain, Christopher Swain, David Allen Morris, William Bryant, Eric Nathans, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers are Terry Goodman, Ronnie Allen, Johnny Martin, Thomas Gray, Paul Siler, Robbie Ward, Kyle Pilkington and Steve Pilkington.
The family has requested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1640 Hagerstown, MD 21741. All arrangements and services are under the direction of the Lea & Simmons Funeral Home in Brownsville, TN.
